Ben Nutter discusses his family background in Los Angeles; being Superintendent of Public Works for the Territory of Hawaii; and his career as Chief Engineer of the Port of Oakland from 1962 through 1977. He touches upon operations, staff, foreign connections, and the early years of the Oakland Airport.
